2010 Indian Mango Season- Season Report 2

The ZZ Mango representatives toured Maharashtra in February and the flowering seemed to be good pointing to an early season. Since then the weather has been unsteady- this has affected the crop- season is now back on the regular schedule (and not early as predicted earlier).
The Gujarat flowering in February is very good this time- three times compared to last year. This points to a bumper crop. However, unseasonal rains in March have had a negative affect on the crop, but since the flowering overall was very good, the impact could be minimal. The crop in Andra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu seems to have been affected by rains. Here is an article from the Economic times which talks about it:
